I agree with Furyous Nurse 100%. Nobody loves to "push the envelope" more than the Gravel Slinger! However, not all riders/drivers have the same skill level. If it's a closed course, then I'd say have at it. Yet with other folks on the road, some traveling in the opposite direction, beyond your field of view, moving at breakneck speeds, your just digging an early grave. I'm disabled, and I still ride -- and I'm going to live to ride another day.

I Second the Motion
I agree with Furyous Nurse 100%. This looks like a hazardous road that cautious riders would tend to avoid. No one loves to push the envelope harder than the Gravel Slinger. Yet on a two way highway with blind curves, opposing traffic traveling at breakneck speed and no escape route, you're just digging an early grave. On a closed course I'd say have at it. Yet when you throw just about everybody into the mix with different levels of driving/riding skill, outcomes are unpredictable. Like the American poet Walt Whitman, I'll choose the path less traveled by.

Didn't look that unusal to me, Colorado has lots of those kind of mountain roads. Idaho has one I rode a few weeks ago, highway 75 from Challis Idaho to Stanley Idaho. Ground off the heel of my boots some on that trip!
The main road from Divide Colorado to the Casinos in Cripple Creek Colorado looks just like Tail of the Dragon exept cut into side of mountain with very very long drop offs and no guardrails.
Main road over the pass from Breckinridge CO to Alma Co has some 10mph hairpin turns and not a straight stretch for miles....that one is fun snow covered in winter pulling a snowmobile trailer....lol.
Like the Tail of the Dragon? Come ride the high country in Colorado more of those roads than I can post.

Agreed. I have no sympathy for any of them.
If you feel the need to rub your knee, or drift your car around corners, then go to a track. Not somewhere with blind corners, oncoming traffic, cliff faces, rocks, trees, and every hazzard you could think of.

The Dragon has been on my bucket list for a couple of years now. I hope some forum members get together there next year.
