Memorial Ride for "Shorty" Palmer

Guys some of us have been trying to get a NC ride together for awhile now. And since the passing of Shorty which was very interested in this ride seems only right to do it in his Honor and make it a Memorial Meet n Greet in his honor. I have thrown the date of August 27th out there meeting in Raleigh around 11 am and riding somewhere. Ideas are welcome. Here are Shortys plans copy directly "There is a great scenic overlook on pilot mountain up NC-52. We could ride from Raleigh to Mount Airy, it’s a 2 hour ride and about another 20 minutes to “Mayberry”.

We could meet up at the Capital City Chop House 151 Airgate Drive, Morrisville, NC 27560-8495 or Carmen's Cuban Cafe & Lounge 108 Factory Shops Road, Morrisville, NC 27560-8516, the are both at the RDU airport exit." This is open to all riders also the more the better please help me make this happen if the date isnt right let me know but i have seen sometimes u cant make everyone happy you just got pick a date and go with it. Please help and respond to this and put the word out. Thanks and im trying my best guys!!!

I was working on one here, so that Steves family could participate, was looking towards the end of sept, 1st week of october. I had been talking to the Blue Nights here seeing they are cops too help with intersections. I have my bike entered in a Bike show on the 27th at coastal plains dragway. Thats the Jacksonville NC Bike Bash. I would love to attend, but cant make the long drive on the bike from here. 3 back surgeries , I normally can get 40 miles in before I have to get off bike. Good idea though,,really good, only suggestion would be too please let Mary know, I have been in contact with her everyday and just got off the phone with her. She has a friend who is a photographer that wished to take pictures for Mary on any event in honor of Steve..

Thanks guys for responding hope we can get more than five maybe we can meet in raleigh and just cruise to the bike bash in jacksonville and hangout since such short notice and make a better plan for end of Sept. Yall let me know im down for whatever at least im trying guys.
