Default Fuggin fabrication restructor

I am posting this thread to inform everyone of whats happening over at Fuggin fab. Fuggin has been sold to Drews performance, Kelly is still part of the company and is still designing and building new exhaust systems and parts.

My name is Andrew.Broughton and i am the new sales representative for Drews Performance.Drews has hired a sales staff to enable Drew and kelly to focus on the manufacturing aspect of the business.

To give a little background on myself i do not come from the metric cruiser side of the motorcycle industry. My experience is mainly in Harleys and sportbikes. I have spent 7 years in Harley dealers and the last 3 years roadracing a Buell.

Drews performance is going to being focusing on building and selling the finest exhaust systems available for metric cruisers and providing the utmost in customer service. i will be your direct contact for questions, problems and new sales orders. We are working on cutting our production time in half by moving all our plating and coating in house and ramping up production so that we have all our systems in stock and ready to ship.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. If i don't have or know the answer, i willl get it right away for you.-andrew

Very nice. It should work better now that forces have joined. BUT ... i would like to express my concern about the pricing for the new exhausts. I thought that 700+ was a bit pricey for my Viper 2s ... now i see that they will be over 800 not including shipping? IMHO they are going to price themselves out of the market.

With out question the Viper 2s i have are absolutely wonderful. But im going to have a hard time telling fellow Fury owners down the road that if they want them they are going to have to shell out almost a grand, when you can get the Cobras for almost half that price.

I agree with pricing...I love the V2's but pickedup my second choice Cobra swepts for 500...300 bucks is a big difference.

Are you or will you make decent looking heat shiels for the pipes, such as the reapers?

Well I'm glad they are moved and joined forces with another company and now they can concentrate on making good quality parts and customer service because right now I couldn't recommend the company to anyone. Yeah what's up with the giant price increase, do they not know that they are going to price themselves out of the market, I wouldn't pay that much and no one I know would, I would rather go for another exhaust and use that extra money on other mods, we are in a recession. Just my .02

Hello...This is Andrew's sales partner Gianni.

Let me start by saying that yesterday was our first day, and we have a lot to learn....first things first though...we will be a sponsor of this forum as soon as the paperwork goes though on our end.

To answer a few questions:

1. At Drew's performance we are not interested in building exhausts for every person on the planet. Our focus will be to build the finest exhaust systems for our customers out of only American made steel. We have a giant water jet so we cut all of our own pieces and weld everything together using only American made tubing in our Tempe shop.

2. As Andrew has said we are going to be doing all aspects of construction in house...at this time we still use an outside chrome plater, but there is only one Chromer we will use.

3. Our prices are always going to be higher than manufacturers who build systems off shore or use Korean or Chinese steel. Frankly we think the quality of our products is important, as is the performance. Skimping on either is just a sell out.

4. With our water jet we can cut you anything you want up to 8" thick. So if you guys decide you want custom key chains or license plate holders let us know....you just have to order 40 of them at a time.

5. If you want a one off custom exhaust for your bike, hot rod, Ferrari, or maybe for your wife and kids we can do it. Contact Andrew for pricing.

6. Heat shields....have been a topic of conversation for us in house. With the coatings that we use they are superfluous. Could we make an exhaust system less expensive by hiding ugly welds behind heat shields? Yeah we could.

7. We are looking to you guys to let us know whats wrong, and whats right with what we are doing. The only thing we won't change is the quality of American steel we buy, and making in the USA. For this help we are working on a discount or group buy plan for the Fury Forum members. Hold tight for that...like many things we're new and we're working on it.

Thanks again for your patience as this transition continues and always feel free to PM us or call.

Gianni

So, without having to break out the old dictionary, I take that as a "no" ??? And I wasn't asking re the welds, but re bluing......?????? I gather you are saying that your version of the pipes will be better quality than fuggin's old ones? I have their reapers.

Thanks for the response...

To be clear. We as the sales org. have been talking to Drew and Kelly about heat shields. Some customers seem to prefer them....others like the way we are currently doing it. As a sales guy I'd like to be able to offer exhausts both ways. At this time we we are discussing it, and it hasn't gone any further.

As far as construction goes, we feel by bringing things in house to service not only the Hot Rod side of the business but also the Exhaust/Motorcycle's it will allow us to put higher quality control standards on everything.

How about I try it this way... It's going to be No until it's not No.

But we are working on it.
