Fuggin Fabrication is No More!!!
Got this email a few minutes agao from LeJon over at FullMoon:
As you all know with the current economic situation here in the United States, that small businesses are closing daily in all aspects of business especially the motorcycle business. Fuggin Fabrication is now officially closed as of last Friday. They have a few items in stock but will no longer be manufacturing pipes under the Fuggin Fabrication name. As many of you know it was always extremely hard and difficult to get answers from emails and phone calls and from what I was told, added to the demise and the closing of the business. I have 3 pending orders and two of those have shipped today, so spread the news on the forums or by word of mouth that Fuggin Fabrication is no more.
Thank you

OK, the company has closed, but have the people from Fuggin that actually went to work for that other company (forgot the name right now) stayed with it to fab pipes? Will the pipes now be under a new name?

That's what I asked LeJon. Is Drew's Garage still open? Are they making 'Fuggin' like pipes? Is there a timeframe? I'll let you guys know what he says.

Too bad; they had a nice line of pipes. But in hard economic times , motorcycles sales (along with most other non-essential "toys") usually take a beating; small, after-market accessory companies even more so. Been there, done that; a coupla' times. Those that survive generally (not always) come back stronger, since there's less competition to contend with; "survival of the fittest" and all that. The down-side is that there will be less-and-fewer choices for us after-market-accessory customers. Take heart though, it'll all come back in the next "boom" business cycle, though it might have a different brand name, and I think, this time, it may take a little longer than usual; let's hope not..........
Cheers

Sorry BAR I disagree. In this case I thing it has more to do with the way they ran the business. I don’t care how good a product is. If the customers think there is chance on getting scammed they will not have customers. And I think Ryan got scammed. Just keep making and breaking promises until the costumer gives up. It was only a matter of time before word got out.

You both make very good points and I think its a combination of the two. There are quite a few posts on this forum about the terrible service and turn around time of Fuggin and I searched the other metric cruiser boards and found several similar. The bad economic times took their toll on them which caused them to slow their production and cut their fabrication staff which in turn reduced their customer base and created a viscous cycle. It was a loose-loose for them. I still haven't heard back from LeJon yet about whether Drew's Garage will pick up their exhaust lines and continue production.
I hope so, I have the Viper 2's and I love them, great product.

Who exactly did you talk to from Drew's garage? Drew or Kelly or Gianni? That could mean the difference between potential and screwed....
