Default Winter Mods 2011/2012 Diary

The riding season is over here and winter is setting in. I know it gets a little boring around here during the winter so I decided to post up some of the things I’m currently working on and share a few pic’s, cause we all know “if there ain’t pictures then it didn’t happen.

Day one is disassemble, the easy part lol. Enjoy the pictures….

This is Doug, a buddy that is helping me with this project...

Action Shot.....

Take plenty of pictures so you know how it goes back together...

Pulling the lowers off the forks. NMUCat watching...

Ever wonder what forks look like without the lowers?

I know your new to this, but those are lowers, the down tubes are the front upright tubes of the frame, but looks good. Good luck with the chrome. That's not rust where the back of the frame got cut is it ??

Clueless it is rust on the frame. Guess the shop that did the sumo mod didnt have a welder and didnt put the tabs on the end. I have suggested he get some one that does. And of course put something in the frame to take care of the rust like POR-15.

It was cool project to watch. Doug is a good guy and explained things to a simple man such as myself. Forks came apart easier than I thought. Would have been a lot easier to polish my lower forks with them off the bike.

I wont spoil the surprise for Richard, but its going to be killer when done.
