What method did you use to polish the fins? Filed first like the VTX forums thread?

Yep same method that stealth used from the VTX forum. I'm still in the prosses of filing though. It a lot of work but will be well worth it in the end. I can't wait to see the end results. Mybe I'll have pictures next week.

My brother (TRX450RR) and I are painting the motor black on my white fury as we speak!!!
Pics soon to come!!!

Aftermath... that red looks legit!!!!

It's alot of work im taking my time tearing the bike down. Im also doing Forks, side covers, key switch cover, final drive and torsion bar and speedo. here is a couple of pictures of the bike in its current state.

I cant imagine using a file on all those fins. Truth be told, i tried a couple nail files to start, and it didnt make a dent. I ended up using my Dremel with the drum sander bit and the fine drums. It was just wide enough not to fall between the fins, and would actually remove the paint from 2 at a time.
