Love it DJ , I've seen the skulls & the process at Painter shop and it still amazes me to know how much time - labor & talent it takes to create something that beautiful !!! If his shop was a tad closer I'd work there for free to observe and learn

DJ, you are correct with the thread's title...this paint job is truly a masterpiece. Jim is an amazing artist and a hell of a great guy!! Jim painted my fury (when I had it) and now has painted the inner fairing on my street glide. He just does great work! Nothing else to say. I can't wait to see pics when you get the bike back together.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dave at Indyfest and was honored that he wanted me to paint his tins!
This is a DARK & DREARY set that matches his persona (hahaha) !!! All work was done over a metallic silver base and done only with black and transparent black over the top with some silver pearl marble on the sides of the tank. You've got to look close as there are ghosted crosses and tombstones in there amongst the skulls!
Enjoy the set Dave and thank you all for the kind remarks. My days of painting are surely numbered!

Great job Jim, it's one thing to be able to lay down a good paint job but air brush detail is a art. I was almost speechless when I seen the pics because I can just imagine the amount of work and time it took to paint. I can paint good with base/clear but air brush work is something I wish I could do.
