thats not a rattle can job is it..can you explain prep work especially for the plastichrome. I really like it and i want to do something like it to mine

You can use "rattle can" paint on those and some have used a product called plasti-dip which is a rubber coating.
If you do a search on "painting side covers" or something like that you will get threads that explain how to paint all that stuff, basically sand the part, wash and dry, use quality paint or even an etching primer and then spray paint with color of choice, so multiple light coats of paint.

Love it! What kind of paint did you use on the cobra pipes? How is it holding up to the heat?

I did all engine plastics with spray paint and then cleared it.. Prep work is easy. Just scuff then down real good clean with PREP CLEANER and then use Adhesion Promoter so the paint can stick.
