Has any one used this Combo, what do you advice for alternatives if this is not a good idea:

1. Air cleaner intake– adapter from thunder MFG: ??????

http://www.thundermfg.com/store/inde...t_detail&p=387

2. Spike filter: - DNA-CHROME-VERTEX-AIR-CLEANER-KIT - from ebay?

DNA VERTEX 90 DEGREE AIR CLEANER KIT 4 HARLEY S&S CARB | eBay

any ideas???

Your link to the Thunder Mfg adapter isn't working, but if you get a standard 3-hole HD spike, I have the 40107A - HON Fury-Corsair Adaptor Only - Type A. THere are a couple different models depending on the air cleaner you plan to use.

I love my adapter, it's all billet and high quality. Install of the adapter was a little tricky to get the rubber seal to stay in place but I got it to work with some gasket sealer.

I'm happy with my K&N Filter and "Live to Ride" cover.

Bought mine on Ebay:

Honda VT1300 Fury VT 1300 CX - live to ride CHROME air cleaner cover / lid | eBay

It's made of good quality (chrome plated) ABS plastic by Show Chrome. Bolts in just like the stock cover. It gets lots of compliments.

Yes, the size is almost identical to the OEM. If they made it any smaller, you would need a different filter.

Has anyone tried to cut their own design or is water jetting really the only way, without screwing things up? I have an idea in mind but want to do it myself, but am worried about messing up he surrounding material.
