"your done" what does that mean? You can still ride the platinum at its lowest height or no air pressure.

Going by what MFR was telling me that if the air ride loses pressure it would not be able to ride back although never heard of it happening Murphy's law would visit me!!

With no air in the cylinder at all the bike is still ride able. I mean you can't ride as if it was at stock height, but its a safety feature of the system.

habadir, a belt sander with a table is the quickest way. set the table at 90 to get it square in the up and down direction, then clamp a 90 angle block (or angle iron will work) to the table to keep it square in the left and right direction...and grind away. keep a bucket of water close by so you can dunk the spring every 10 seconds or so.....good luck.

Is the following video basically what needs to be done to the spring for the lowering mod? 1/8 inch off each side and keep it cool right?
