Default Mod Costs and Effort

Any interest in keeping track of mod costs (both $ and time)? I realize that prices for everything is out there on the internet, but that's visiting a lot of sites. I would love to learn from what others have done by having a central list.

All I can contribute is:

MOD COST TIME
Corbin K&Q $545 (incl S&H) <30 minutes

(would have been even quicker, but I didn't have loctite, so did it twice and the seat wasn't quite bent enough, so I threaded it on without the spacer (but didn't tighten all the way) and drove it a few days to see if it would bend a little bit and then redid it with the spacer and tightened it hard, so it was about half an hour all in doing it three times)

Thanks for considering the idea!

Yea, we have all thought about starting this kind of thread, just never really got into it much I suppose... I also have a relative number in the FAQ, for about 3000$ (that's with all the chrome trimmings, pipes and little mods), the bike will be modded the way you want it to be, minus paint jobs or anything to do with the rims.

You bought the more expensive seat, so your number will be slightly higher of course. I'm just waiting to see who actually does this... some guy's may not let their wives or girlfriends see this post too... lol

Can you break it down at all? Is that an accumulation of tons of little things? Or are there a couple key things you went all in on? Thanks!

I have thought about doing this, but I’m afraid it would make me sick. I know I have over 20k in it. Wife just upgraded her wedding ring to about what I have in the bike, now I’m free to spend a little more.

I don't see how you guys put 20k into the bike... the Sumo kit and rims around what about 7k for everything? Then I have 7.6k alone in mine and that's with a paint job...??

I may have to break it down. My cost includes labor also. We should also include all of the shipping of parts out to be worked on or exchange programs.

Yea, my cost is without labor (besides paint which is mostly labor costs) and I padded up some of the costs for trade secrecy ... Most of my shipping was free too.. meh, guess I shopped around till I found free or next to free shipping though, I hate shipping costs... Still don't see the 20k... you guy's must be getting robbed on labor costs...!
