I don't mind the snow and cold, maybe I'm still young. I do plan on retiring to the north however. Only part I don't like is I can't ride my bike.

There are worse things than living in the north, like tornadoes, floods, poisonous snakes, heat waves, droughts, fire ants, killer bees and hurricains. Granted it does snow a bunch and gets cold but thats when we can work on our bikes or jump on our snomobiles and head out on to one of the thousand of inland lakes and fly across it at over 100mph and not have to worry about hitting tress or other obstacles. Your right, most folks retire down south but that's because the heat helps heal all their old aches and pains and they can play shuffle board and drive golf carts all year round. lol
