just tell them to look at Neil Pert's kit hes got like a quadruple quintouple tripple bass setup. I prefer a true double bass, or a double with a double base pedal on each bass drum but with the rt one reversed and a slightly different size bass drum to add a little variety to the bass thud. Pat's Quad is nuts but hes capible of pulling it off. Im glad im not a drummer when i hang out around him so that way i dont feel like i suck at life.

Petty, Dylan, & George Harrison were well noted for their solo album as "The Traveling Wilburys." Petty was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Neil was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1995 on his own, and again in '97 with Buffalo Springfield.

Yeah and a ton of people have been inducted to the hall of fame, its a political popularity contest, why do you think the sex pistols protested it. You also have Janis Jopplin, Hendrix, the beatles, The who, the guess who, Yes, Cream, the Yard Birds, ZZ top, The Greatful Dead, Mama Kass, Black Sabboth, AC/DC, and a ton of other highly notable artists for that era and they only induct a certain amount each year. For the 80's-90's there are only probably 2-3 dozen notable artists including rap and country.
"Currently, groups or individuals are qualified for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Nominees should have demonstrable influence and significance within the history of rock and roll. Four categories are recognized: Performers, Non-Performers, Early Influences, and Sidemen (as of 2000). However, fans have no input concerning who is nominated or elected to the hall." (wikipedia) They have people voting that are in the music industry that may not even have been in a band and seen how important some influences have been to changing that genre. Some of the groups are just there because they are more likely to draw a bigger crowd for that year so they will pass on people that have had massive influence on music. To draw a bigger crowd so they have the "most successful" induction year.

Bah...there's one thing I've learned; there's always someone better out there. You pick the best drummer in the world, I don't care who it is, and it won't take long 'till there's a better one. However, that means that there's always someone worse out there as well.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I hate being around a superior drummer. I just know that if I played a guitar, it'd be the same. Even if I was VanHalen good, or Ted Nugent good, or whoever you think is a good guitarist, some filthy schmuck would still the crown eventually. That's why I just play and enjoy it.

Dont tell that to Chris Cornell's solo projects guitarist. He got mad when i was like dude your playing a live paid show dont f up that much or ill play for you during their intermission. He was freaking horrible until that pep talk then was slightly better on project revolution tour. He also knew that i could easily replace him
