Default Stickman's Cross Country Road Trip

Now that this ride is complete, thought I'd share the link to my ride journal.
What a great experience!

Wow! All around the country on that little Fury. Makes my upcoming trip to Dallas seem like nothing now. That's awesome. You were real close by me in Springfield, MO. Well....2 hrs. close.

hey Steveo,

He rode within 2 miles of my house and a stones throw from my office in Hattiesburg....if I'd have known he was coming this way, we could have met up in Magee and I would have ridden with him for a while....oh well....Hwy 49 is a rough road.....I commute on it to work.....bet Stickman was happy to get off of it....but it's the main north/south 4 lane road in Mississippi from the coast to Jackson (the capital).

Looks like a fun ride. I have been thinking of going to North Carolina, Maine then Pittsburgh, back to north carolina then back to florida. I need time off from work for it, but have free lodging the whole way. What did you average per tank on miles, seems like i get about 100 on highway

Woodenhorse, We'll have to ge together one of these days.

Imwright, I averaged pulling over for gas about every 120 miles but I made one stretch out in the desert of 138 miles and took on 3.3 gal of fuel, leaving me 2/10ths gallon. I wonder if some of the math whizzes out there could do the numbers on how far I would have been able to go on .2 gallons?

Stickman:
I think the math worked out to 41.81 miles per gallon. with that calculation you had about 8.36 miles left on 2/10ths of a gallon..
I think.. need another cup of coffee..
