I think alot are confused on what it actually is. If you want to turn left you push the left handlebar away from your body. If you want to turn rt then you push the rt handlebar away from your body.

Works great, practiced today and had to put my swingwing folded cause i kept scraping them

vid on countersteering basics

And yes i am planning to take a course

This is the correct way to counter steer that I learned in class as well

This is basically what SoLo is saying, but with different terms.

That's how I turn! I thought something was wrong with the way I was reading the explanations.
I started doing this right off the get go because I read our little safety book that came with the bike.
It was under "cornering" (I think) in the index. Either way it's in there.
