I'm not sure about a glue that's supposed to hold it on all by itself, but there is a spray glue that's used to hold them in place so you can sew them on. I have used this glue myself, but I find that using the right type of pins works just as good. Yes, I am a dude that knows how to sew, my WIFE taught me how and I'm proud to say that I've sewn all of my own patches and even some for some fellow riders. I'm so damn talented, it hurts.

Since you're from Oz you SHOULD put it on top, but shouldn't it be inverted since you live "down under"? Just kidding!

Because of this "thread", I decided to attempt a couple patches on my own. Picked up a box of leather needles (a whopping $2). Put one in my wifes sewing machine, pressed the zig-zag button and stiched away. Even going really slow it only took a few minutes. One of my kids walked into the room, looked at me, then walked out and screamed..."What the crap is Dad doing?"

Didn't bother with any adhesives. Once you have two stiches it stays in place. I must say, they turned out pretty good.

That makes so much sense... It would be so much easier to read if I put it on upside down...

Actually I put three flags on my vest one for each country that I ride with. So that includes the following flags, Australia, Canada & USA.

Default Velcro....................

I use velcro (Hook/Pile tape). Have the hook tape sewn to your patch, then the pile (fuzzy) on your vest. If you use the sticky velcro, put it on and have it sewn to patch and to the vest. This way you, like me can rotate different patches on your vest....TAZ in NC

Here is my vest so far. I left room to add more patches. The patches look a bit croooked in the photos but they are actually straight.
