FIXER bikes do have alternators, but your point is well taken because you definitely don't want to leave any gadget hanging on the bike!!!

That would not be a good idea, the main fuse for the whole bike is 30 amps, most add on power plugs are only 5 -7 amps.

I've seen the adapters you can get to plug into an existing outlet that have two outlets, but I don't want that.

Anyone have outlets mounted on their furys?
This works. Then you can use a bosch/BMW plug to any cigarette plug (dual or single). Switch lets you turn it on or off for things like electric vest or charging adapters for phones cameras etc.

Thanks Clueless, I'll keep it toned down....just want to run radar detector and gps (could be either/or) and maybe hand held cb or scanner with ear plug or something......

FWIW, ALL Honda's have come equipped with A/C Alternators, ever since they first graced these shores in the late 50's. I don't remember ANY Honda ever coming equipped with a D/C Generator. Older Harley's and some British bikes had Generators, but even they, finally, upgraded.

Cheers

i drilled the side cover to mount my air ride switches. just like easy e did. very simple. just used a very small bit and then moved up size by size till i got where i needed. although i bet if u had a pilot hole with a small bit you could go bigger right away.

i just didnt want to over shoot the switches.
