SOLD EVERYTHING (except the Fury)
Well I bit the bullet this week and unloaded my toys. If fact the last one just left on a trailer. At 26 i feel like I've been living way beyond my means for way to long. Back around Christmas I got the 2011 Corvette Zr1 and a few months back I bought a 2008 Shelby Supersnake. Well The Vette left yesterday and the Shelby just turned the corner. I also sold a 78 Camaro track car and a 70 Challenger I just started to work on.
I'm telling this because... I really don't know why. I'm not sure what made me get rid of everything but I have a smile on my face. But anyway heres the deal. almost 8 years ago I bought a brand new 2004 Mustang GT. It was the first car I tore down to the frame and but together BY MY SELF and to this day it was my absolute favorite car. Time went on and I "upgraded" through z06's, cobras, and whatever else. My heart still belongs to my GT. So I'm goin back. (knock on wood) I should be picking up a 2012 Mustang GT 5.0 this weekend. I drove her today. She isnt as fast as a supersnake or a zr1 but goddam if my eyes didn't well up with water when my left foot lifted off the clutch and the right went down on the gas.
here is a pick of what hopes to be coming home with me this weekend.
I called my best friend today (who him and I built his 70 Chevelle a few years back) and I told him what I did. He was quiet for a second then said very sincere "Hey.... Your back. You know we lost ya for a while. But we all knew this day would come.
BOYS AND GIRLS SORRY FOR THE LONG POST BUT I AM THE HAPPIEST MAN ALIVE TODAY. I FEEL LIKE A LITTLE KID AGAIN!!!

Great story, wish that ZR1 was coming my way!
Thanks for all your help in our conversations about muscle cars. I plan on getting something when I get done taking care of everyone else.

Rich that ZR1 didnt hold a candle the the Snake. The Shelby was WAY more fun to drive. and its definietly out performed it in the 1/4
