Default Moving From TN to FL

Just wanted to throw a thread up that I am in the process of moving from Clarksville TN <Ft. Campbell> to Crestview FL <Eglin AFB> now that I am retired and got a Government job. If anyone is from around that area please let me know as I would love to talk about the area and what to expect and what the housing market looks like and what I can get for my money their, yeah I have looked on the web and have an idea but nothing like first person knowledge of what to expect.

It's a bitter sweet move, on one hand I'm used to the area and know it and have a house here and now I have to venture into new lands and start all over after being in one place for the last 8 years. Yeah being in the Army I have moved a lot but like I stated it's been a while since I have had to do it. Also if you have even been through that area and can tell me about your experiences their would help out as I have no knowledge of it except what I can read on the internet.

Thanks in advance if you can provide any input, if not then just hijack the thread like you usually do lol, j/k....or not....lol.

Would like to help you Kiowa, but it's been 35 years since I lived in that area.

That's ok, just figured that I might be able to get someone that lives close by to know something about the area, no worries.

lol well I lived in Colorado for a while and it was about the same their, guess I'll have to get used to it again. Yeah I seen that the coldest months are January and February, still not as cold as here so I'm sure that I can deal with a couple of months from riding compared to the 5-6 months of no riding here.

I appreciate the offer but I'm not going to ask you to go out of your way, but would definitely like to hook up and ride one of these days.

As of right now I got it taken care of, sister in law was in real estate so we went through her to her friend that's an active agent that referred us to someone, thanks for the offer though!

If I remember correctly, RickFuryous lives in or around Crestview.
BTW if you are there next weekend Thunder Beach is just 45 minutes away...

Might have to hit him up and see if he is in that area, would be nice to not only have someone that's their already but someone to ride with on occasion. Unfortunately I won't be their until about 15 October.
