My two cents on the Morton's since I have them is they are a great sounding pipe and look good, pretty damn loud that's for sure, love the sound of them, but be prepared to hear a scraping sound if you take those right hand turns to sharp, on another note you can ask Doug Morton to cut them shorter, I would suggest about 4-6 inches shorter so you wouldn't have that problem.
Be prepared for them to blue or bronze unless you get the heat shields, I would think that even if you got the exhaust on and a PC5 they would still blue or bronze until you got it dyno'd. The Fi2000 does work good with them, but you are not going to get every last bit power and performance out of it like you would with a PC5, so if you can afford a PC5 and can get the bike dyno'd I would go that route if I had it to do over.
I don't know first hand if those heat shields would cover all of the blueing or bronzing or not, I would like to think they would since they are like 12 inches long and that's about how much would blue or bronze, but that's an added expense of $90 I think, plus you are recommended to get the power cones which provide back pressure, think they are $30 extra.
So all in all for the exhaust, power cones and shipping I think I paid $650. Take this for what it's worth as it's just my opinion and experience, I'm sure others have different thoughts and opinions.
To tell the truth if MFR would have been making pipes when I bought mine I would have got a set from him and that way you can get them like you want as far as style and coating you want, plus they would be about the same price that you would pay from any vendor for a set of pipes. I agree with you that I would definitely want something different as a lot of people have the Swepts and although they are not a bad looking set of pipes, just about everyone has them.
Good luck with you decision and if you have any other questions feel free to post them or send a pm and I will get back to you as soon as possible, I'm in the middle of selling my current house, starting a new job, and buying a new house all at the same time.
