Wink $$ A Tip About Tip's $$

Let me pass this along as someone who eat's out at resturant's and bar's a lot (Can't Cook) I have caught a lot of waiter's and bar tender's uping the tip when i get my C/C statement this has happened from Cal to NC a way i found to stop it is to fill in your tip and total and also write the total on the merchant copy just as you would with a check i.e. $10.00 total check Ten dollars and 0/100.. just an FYI.

It only happened to me once and it pissed me off, so from then on I've been filling out the receipt completely.

I thought this was a known thing. There is a blank, fill it in.

I do my best to use cash when a waitress or bartender is involved... Or anyone who gets "tipped"

Come on Shane i am smarter than that lol I am not talking about the tip line being empty..!!! I alway's have put the tip. I have had them change what i put there and after i have recieved my statement gone back to resturant and confronted them ! Just saying now i also write the amount like a check as a way of making it harder for them to chicken scratch the #s i wrote to something else

Aussies don't tip so we don't have that problem. No one down under expects to get a tip either.

Before you get upset and say we are all mean spirited our wait staff get paid well. A junior (under 18) gets at least $14 per hour with most wait staff earning $20 to 35 per hour. Considerably more than the min wage in the US.

After having travelled in Asia way to often, I pay cash when eating out, that way there are no suprises later.

Me too! Since folks in the service industry get paid 2 bucks an hour in most states I prefer to leave cash that way they don't have to claim as much on their income taxes.
