Question Riding Boots/Shoes

I am looking to get some footwear for riding but have no idea what to get. Boots would be ok I guess but after years in construction and a few years decking on the river I rather not have to wear some 30lbs clunky boots again if I can help it.

What choices do I have for boots/shoes made for riding?
Got to be water proof cause I actually enjoy riding in the rain but wet feet suk. And comfy for wearing about aswell. And have good grip on wet/slick surfaces... liked to bust my chops a few times in my Vans.

Found some Tourmaster Boots online but not sure about getting them yet before checking out other boot/shoes out there.

Default best shoes ever

hey man i just had this dilemma, i have a lot of work and riding boots but they all suck. i wanted tennis shoes that were water proof and comfy. i recently bought the best shoes ever. Merrell's they feel like a sock, have no shoe strings and water proof. Merrell | Store | Men | Footwear | Waterpro Maipo best shoes you'll buy.

Default riding boots

If you're still looking for riding boots/shoes, look at the Alpinestar Harlem air Boot. It's got flex to allow you to walk without 'stomping' and a mesh side to allow your feet to breath. Down here in Fla. we need lightweight, but sturdy ride gear.
If waterproofing is a need, they make a water proof version, Harlem Air Boot WP.
Our local Honda dealer sells them so you can try before you buy.
