damn, thats nice. It looks like it belongs there with the 250. A 300 IMHO is just too wide.

I agree, the 300 looks overdone! I think something in between even would sweet, but the 300 just too much for this short, streamline of a bike.

On the 5 push pins that go into the wheel and just sit in place in the wheel and are threaded on the other end to bolt the wheel bearing and bearing flange to; do they just sit in place when you install them into the wheel? Mine are not even a snug fit, they just drop right in place with a bit of slop actually. Will the bolts that mount the flange even tighten without the push pins spinning? I guess with a fast spin of an impact wrench? Should I possibly use loctite or permatex sleeve retainer on them? I was thinking if they push against one another when the flange taps down in place with a mallet, maybe they would hold against one another for a tight fit and would hold good enough to not spin while installing the nuts with an impact. Am I on the right track with this? I guess once the final drive, brake caliper bracket, and axle bolt are all in place, the push pins can't go anywhere as for coming out, but seems it would be nice for a tighter fit?

Comments?
OK I'll chime in....lol
no need for loctite on the stud. the center bearing race is what holds everything together, everything else rotates around that. This is why the center crush sleeve stack height is very important. You think your final flange is tight and it is tight to the cush flange, but the stock cush flange still floats within the hub a little, this movement (mostly rotating)is what makes for smoother operation.
Now if you want to loctite the pins in, it's not going to hurt anything and it may help you tighten the nuts, but if you have an impact you won't need to do so. Just nail them tight and you will be fine.
We use an almost identical set up on the vtx and I have guys that have put on 100k on there bikes, one of my buddy's has about 70,000 on his 1800F and he does pound on that thing...still going. You may have to install new rubbers at 40 or 50k but they are cheap.
The problem with too tight a fit is that it becomes a real pain in the hinder for assembly.
Hope this makes sense to you.
