Final cost of SUMO-X 250?
The $2,999.95 Meancycles kit in the FAQ includes:
Sumo-X Rear Fender kit pointy or round.
Polished Billet Fender Struts
Polished Forged Rear Wheel
Dunlop 250mm Elete 3 rear tire
Re-man Swing arm RAW FINISH
It's easy enough to figure additional cost of chrome or paint but for those who have done it, what was the final number including install and upgrades? If you had it done, how many hours did you pay for install? Any regrets?

I did all the install myself, once you figure the paint and chrome on wheels, brake rotors, swing arm, final drive, and fender you are close to $5000.00 to $5500.00
Plus shipping and labor, that is if you don't do your own install.

First of all let me make the point clear. I have absolutely NO REGRETS going with the 250 kit. This is by far the best mod I have ever done to my bike.
I believe I was one of the first ones to buy the kit. This was before the install videos and so forth. My shop did the work and I believe they charged me about 6-8 hours of labor. I did the license plate brackets, kury led turn signals (front & Back), Intimidator wheels (polished) and a few other things. My total cost was about $4,500. If I had it to do over, I would have bought the wheels in chrome rather than polished. But at the time I was trying to save a few bucks. This winter I tore the bike down and the wheels was one of the things I had chromed.

Don't get me Wrong I Love the Sumo-X 250 Tire kit, i would have gone that route if I could have afforded it. The only other option i could afford was the Kosman Wheel Widening. I simply have 0 regrets! once you did chrome and paid for the labor again plus wheel bearings and seals you are probably closer to $5200.00 at Least

I too don't have NO Regrets installing this kit. It gives the fury a totally different look. I got mine from Xchoppers for $3000 otd. The wheels, struts and torque arm came polished and the swingarm and fender came raw. I got the wheel, struts, torque arm and swingarm powder coated for $150. And then got the fender painted for a $100. I did the install all myself which was pretty easy just by watching the videos. So all in all I would say after everything I paid close to $3300.

The way I would have done it with the Sumo, I would have bought a matching front wheel, new tire, and had some other things powder coated like i have done with the Kosman option. So the price I came up with was little over 5k. I did it all with a 240 tire for under 2k. All i am saying is if you can't afford the Sumo Look, the Kosman Option is Fantastic!

No doubt the 250 kit is awesome but I have to agree that the Kosman option for less that US $2000 is a good deal. I particularly like the idea of keeping everything else stock. The only thing that I would do is to get the modified rear wheel chromed to match the front (if my wheels were chromed) or get it painted to match the stock front if my wheels were not chromed.

C&C Fastback seat compatible with the SUMO kit?
Anyone familiar with the mod required to make a C&C Fastback seat compatible with the SUMO kit? It looks like the lower sides would need trimming similar to what they do to the stock seat in the install video. How about the fit laying on the back fender? I'm wondering if my StPeteAPB suction cup will work with this setup.

with the 240, how close does the tire come to the swing arm and tourque arm? I like this option and would like to see it next to a sumo 250 kit.

Hey Sumo (Kurt) I think it’s time for a group buy.
