Where are Metzelers made ?

A foot note to Gar's post. My Metzelers were made this year and were only 6 weeks old when I put them on. This gives us roughly a two year manufacturing window between Gar's tyres and my tyres. I am also very intrested to learn where the factory issue Metzelers are made.

I saw a new Fury in Edmonton in September with Metzelers and didn't check. The aftermarket Metzelers I put on in April were a German rear and Brazillian front. The front tire is wearing well and the rear crapped out (no tread almost to cords) at 11,353km / 7,054 miles.

Just got off the phone with 2 dealers and the salesmen checked their 2013's on the floor. Same thing, the Honda supplied Metzelers on their Furys are rear from Germany and the front from Brazil. Who knew .

Good to know that we got the real deal with our replacement tyres. I am very happy with the Metzelers as they have way more grip than the Dunlop and handle wet Sydney roads better than any tyre I have used to date.

Were the US Fury's the only ones with Dunlap then?

No, they all had Dunlop until recently. I find the Metzelers to have much better grip, especially on poor or wet road surfaces.
