Stiff factory seat

Im starting to think this is caused by the rebound / dampening switch set way too high from the factory. Mine was set on 100%! Mustang seat is like sitting on a pedestal lol. Gonna throw on the factory seat, then set the rebound at 50 % and the height adjustment knob on 0%.

Could the numb ass be caused by the high rebound setting or is it the useless factory seat?

I'd say the factory seat. I dooooo get it though. The factory seat looks cool (the true chopper look). I installed the Mustang seat and all my sore butt problems have disappeared. Seat doesn't look as cool as the slim factory one though. (I don't care....now it's comfy)

Factory spring was set 1/2 way on mine from factory, rode like a hard tail and gave me a sore tail... adjusted the spring to softest setting and she rides sweet. even when my wife rides we leave the spring in the lowest setting and have no problem bottoming out.... of course this will depend on the load weight, may not work for everyone.... I still have the factory seat.
I about 155lb. my wife is less than 120 with rocks in her pocket....

What was your your rebound / dampening adjustment set at? Not the large black adjustment knob but the small one you can adjust with a screwdriver.

Turns out it was the suspension settings more than the seat for me.

Installed the factory seat back on turned the height adjustment to the minumum and set the rebound at 50 percent. Its much more comfortable and it seems like 5 inches lower and 1 or 2 inches backwards than the Mustang saddle. You can lean back easier on the factory seat. The lumbar support on the Mustang seat sort of prevents you from really leaning back on the bike which I like to do.

I don't regret buying the Mustang seat, Ill put it on for super long rides only. Otherwise I like the low profile factory seat with the handlebars up higher.

I took all the factory foam out and put 2inches of high dinsity,1 inch of medium dinsity and i/2 inch of low sewed to the pad.I went to indy from Farmville Va.in a single run and no pain.

T50 1/4" staples?
Any trouble putting the staples back in?
Which type of gun did u use?
I pulled a staple yesterday , seat frame is pretty tough !
