Odds are 2010 Fury has a 2010 Fury . Since he just bought it plus the voltage is dropping enough to reset the odo and the "battery drains dead" odds are the battery is dead . Odds are the battery has been out of use for a long time and the dealer will charge the battery but since it has sulphated the scenario will repeat.

Lets hope the dealer beats the odds and gives 2010 a new fully charged battery .

One week and no problems,"knock on wood",. Bike sits outside in the weather w/ cover. Unseasonably warm weather here, im thinkin one night of cold will zap the battery again,,,, now looking at buying a new front tire,,,the search begins,,,,,

Unhappy Still having Starting Issues

I have cleaned the starter switch and just yesterday replaced it with a new one. First start zeroed everything out again. Battery has been hooked up to charger and shows good. This will be my third battery if it has to be replaced again. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I make sure I start it with the low beam on and clutch pull. I have a 05 Goldwing with the original battery so I hate to put another one it my Fury.

Check your battery voltage first 'cause nothing works if the battery is low.
There are so many possibilities your next move should be to read up on the many threads that have discussed this issue at length.
Click on Search and type in starter .

I replaced my starter brushes and springs cleaned interior of starter and used ohm meter to check for shorts, everything good so put back together. Started great the first day but on my second day it happened again didn't start on first try and zero out of time and mileages. However, it started right up on the second try now this may be a coincidence but it has only done this when in gear with clutch in. Every time I've started in neutral it's started first time but haven't had a chance to ride a lot because of weather. My battery is 2 yrs old but I don't think that's the reason it has problems because it wouldn't start right up on the second try if the battery is going bad it should progressively get worse and not start on the second or third try either???? My Fury has done this on and off since I bought it but so sparatic it was never really a concern.
