Throw in the towel and get yourself another "good" battery. I bought the Shorai L/O battery and Shorai battery tender. As long as I keep mine in the maintain setting when not riding much, she gives me no problems. Before the Shorai, many problems. Also, as info, a regular battery tender did not function well at all on the Shorai [for me]

Clueless......if you bought a 5 yr ext warranty and the "chrome" is bubbling up and peeling from the rear head cover next to rear exhaust pipe entry to head, would that be covered under warranty? And pls, don't BS me

I would get it retested, and ask for a printout. Honda dealers are suppose to use a Micro 404 tester that can link to a computer to provide a print out. Also might look into an Optimate 3 tender, which will work with the AGM battery, and will desulfate the battery.

"Appearance" issues are only warr for 30 days, do you have stock exhaust, because that sounds like an exhaust leak at the gasket.

Thanks, but my comment was 100% sarcasm. We actually get alot of business from "other dealerships"

I'll go ahead and get it rechecked at a different dealership, and hopefully they can point me in the right direction on it.

For the tender, is it the best option? I ride my bike every day, and it sits either in a parking lot or on a street most of the time, with little access to electrical outlets.

We know you are a straight shooter but why do so many dealers try to avoid honouring the warranty? Sure they get a reduced hourly rate from Honda but they are not out of pocket.

You guys are lucky to have the battery covered. In Oz tyres, batteries and brake pads are seen as consumables and not covered by warranty.

As much as you ride, I don't think you need it. But as I have mentioned in other threads, looks like the battery was not properly stored/service correctly at the dealers. Any time the voltage drops to 12.4 vdc, the battery need to be recharged, if it was left in the bike and not serviced for 2 (maybe 3, they hit the show rooms in May 09) years, then the battery sulfified and will not function properly. If you have a volt meter, attach it to the battery, watch the voltage drop as you start the engine, then what it comes up to at idle.
