Smile Advice: Fury windshield and Mustang solo seat...

Can I get an opinion about the the following:

1) Does the stock Fury windshied work...in other words does it help deflect some of the wind over the rider...or is is just for show?

2) Is the Mustang after-market solo seat comfortable and supportive and worth the price?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Regards,
Ed

Default Mustang and Boulevard

Purvis... Hi.

Yes and Yes.

Unfortunately the Boulevard Windshield just takes the wind off of your belly button, thus... I would have to say it's more for "show".

The Mustang Seat however is awesome. However you have to realize "awesome" is Relative. For me, the Mustang Seat is Awesome relative to the Stock seat. My ass no longer takes naps while riding like it did when the stock seat was on board. Does that make the Mustang seat worth it??? To me it does.

Hope this helps, if you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask.

In my "pics" you can see what the Fury looks like with a windshield and a Mustang seat, if your interested.

Ed, I have both and I think the windscreen is really a waste of money, it does look good but I don't feel it really does much for wind deflection.
I do like my Mustang seat though, it is very comfortable but that is just my opinion.

Here on the North Shore of Long Island we have lots of sand. I can tell you this.

1. With out a windshield i was getting sand blasted to the point i didnt want to ride. Not fun.
2. With the Fly Screen ( currently for sale under the classifieds ) was getting most of the debris out of my face but was still getting some on my arms.
3. With the Honda Blvd. the debris is minimal across the board.

I rest my case. Like i said, with nothing on, sure the bike looks better but it was a pain to ride and not pleaserable at all.

The seat. I have a Danny Butt Crack Solo and love it. It sits low and is very well padded.

Ed,
I agree with Skychicken on his opinion of the Boulevard windshield. Yes it helps, but very little.

I have the C&C solo seat, and I'm happy with it. They retail for around $230. Mustang seats are just as good, but perhaps a little pricier.

You can see what my windshield looks like on my personal gallery.

I have the memphis shade big shot and it works great. i look above it and it deflects the wind to the top of my head. make long rides or highway speeds so much more comfortable. it takes only a few seconds to put on or take off. i was worried about how it would look, but not actually bad at all.

i ride around town with the stock solo seat on. i switch out with my C&C touring when on a long ride or with a passenger. as soon as i switch seats back i feel a huge difference. my ass and back like the C&C much better, but i like the look of the stock solo better. i might end up getting a C&C solo also. i sit up a little higher with the C&C seat. not sure how much, but further away from the ground and the pegs.

Not a big windshield fan. IMO, takes away from the chopper look and makes it look more like a cruiser.

Default C&C SEAT

I went from 15 minutes on stock seat to not even entering my thought process on the c&c. Did take about 500 miles to break in. Can ride for hours now. Screen is next

I've had the Mustang on a number of bikes including the Fury and I love it
