I changed my trees yesterday. I used a friends jack.
Even if you got it jacked up with something else. you still need to tie it down to something. i would have knocked my bike over if it had not been strapped down.
It was not as easy to get some of the parts off like the video showed. The bottom race was the biggest pain for me to remove.
But now that its done, it looks good.

you can also use a ratchet strap on the truss of a building or even a tree limb if you are a shadetree*er and keep it balanced until you can slide a block of wood or cinder block with wood on top to protect the paint under the frame. run your strap around handlebars or under backbone, in front of tank. Just an idea and I am not responsible for any mishaps.

Xactly. If you can afford the trees, you can find a way to buy the jack. I got the jack, but no $$ for trees. Im holding out for MFR to make a trip out here.

How did you get the bottom race out? Tried the hammer trick, I may have to get a different one.

used the pinch bar from the top, Could only get the very corner of it in the small recess still take your time slowly and light taps all around it till you can get the whole blade in a placewhere you can get a good area of the race to knock it out .
take your time it is teadious.

I got my bottom race out entirely with the claw hammer. I couldn't find anything else that would work!
