Max, emailed Ginz. Looks like the oem honda bar is 1/2 inch. They said they would check to see if it would clamp on a 1/2" bar, but they also said I would need at least 6" of width and the bar would need to be at a 20 degree rack (like their bar), or the rack woukld not fit flat. Guess if I want one I will have to get their sissy bar. Will think about it. More money than I wanted to spend right now......

The clamps can be turned around so I think it will go on 5 1/2" or a bit less. I'll take a look at my rack tonight but I still think it would go on the OEM bar. Does it really matter if the rack is not level? After all the main purpose of a rack is to hold a bag off the fender and give you something to tie on to.
Stay tuned and I'll let you know what I come up with.

Here is the rack on an old sissy bar from another bike. You would need to pad up the clamps here as the bar is only 7/16" or 1/2". Also another shot of the adjustable nuts for the clamps. Ignore the black electrical tape on the rack as I use it so I won't scratch anything. In short I think it will be fine with the clamps padded out with an old hose.

Max, thanks so much for going the extra mile for me. I believe it will work, but will wait for my reply from Ginz. Appreciate your help....
