Default Triple trees bolts torque setting?

What is the recommended torque on the triple trees bolts & nuts? L&M video says tight it to the recommended torque, but I don't have a shop manual.

Wonder why couldn't they just say it in the video.

I thought it said to tighten and then back off 1/2.

but i agree, give us some specs to go off of.

i just tighten it until it felt good.

I Believe Richard said between 14lbs. to 15lbs in another thread.
Installed mine yesterday , don't forget to put some gasket sealer on the threads of the extensions for back up to prevent fork oil leaks.
I hope it goes well for you! Those races can be a bit aggravating to knock out!
Also if you have your levers rolled forward to help you see out of your mirrors..
roll them back up to the factory spot or your gonna hit your tank when you turn your handle bars all the way , so check everything carefully!

If you over-tight or under-tight the stem bolt, the bearings may go bad pretty soon.

That's interesting...

How many of you installed 8* trees? What tongue you used to tight all the bolts? Is that information available in the Shop manual?

Axle bolts 47 lbs.
Axle pinch bolts 16 lbs.
Caliper bolts 23 lbs.
Found this information in the flat tire section of owners manual.
