No rumor. 6K is correct. Definitely not for everyone. Only for extremists with some disposable income. Believe it or not, we really don't make much on these. More for testosterone overload and promotion. largest chunk of cost is the offset gearbox / swing arm combo.
And 300? So pedestrian
That's a 330 and it will fit a 360.
