Default Best temporary luggage option?

What is the best temporary luggage option for us?

I need to be able to pack stuff for a 4-5 day stay, plus of course rain gear and what not for the trip itself (7-9hr ride).

I will have a sissy bar by then for sure. I had seen somewhere a roundish looking giant bag that looks like it went between the sissy bar and the rider that looked possible, but now I can't find it haha.

Here's the one I picked up at Americade... it's PVC so it's mostly waterproof, and it comes with a cover as well for heavy rain... hard to waterproof zippers.

XL PVC Travel Bag

The top bag can be unstrapped and left behind or used by itself. Also came with shoulder straps if you want to pull it off and take it with you. Worked out just right for the trip from CT to Indy. Was able to take some tools, clothes, extra shoes, camera. Rain gear I just bungeed to the backside of it since my raingear has its own bag.

You feel it fits good between sissy bar and your back with the pad and all, with the extra large? That is exactly what I was looking at. I was curious if it made you feel "pushed forward" or anything.

You can see pics in my profile. No, it doesn't push me forward and can be adjusted forward or back by adding padding between the sissybar and bag or removing the sissy bar pad. Mine is fine with the pad. One nice thing about it, before I got it I felt like I was having to hang on for dear life to the handlebars as I felt pulled back when riding (I ride about 80 mph most of the time). It was tense on my shoulders and back. Once I got the bag and found my comfort zone with it, it changed the whole ride. Now I can lean against it and relax my arms completely and let them rest on the grips - sooooo much nicer ride. The extra large looks big on the bike but I'm big, so it doesn't much matter. I have a big head and wear a large helmet. The bag will hold two full sized full face helmets, if that gives you an idea of the size. You can check out their website at bikersfriend.com for a better looksee. But, like I said pricey. I've been through the rain and everything inside was dry. The stuff I had in my handlebar tool bag got wet, but nothing in my bikers friend bag did. A few people on here have them. Indigestion used on on his cross country journey, but he once didn't clasp the endcap good and lost his laptop on the road, so you gotta make sure the clasp is closed - the clasps are quality, he just didn't close it good.
