Default D&M speer on L&M air adapter

Ok i purchased the L&M air adapter and ignition cover painted to match my bike and just yesterday got my D&M speer breather, and WOW that thing is HEAVY! I expected good quality, but not good quality and heavy built material. My question is who has this same setup and will the thin little L&M air adapter support this chunk of LEAD/THINK ALUMINUM LOL!? Anyone came up with a way to better strengthen/support the L&M air adapater?

the box says 4 lbs that the spike came in. Is the d2moto that heavy? did you just mount per manufacturers directions? Is yours the L&M air adapter as well?

thanks for the confidence. One more thing, I have read a lot on here about the powerpro by cobra and talk about a newer/improved model for the 2011s with an orange or red tag wrapped around the power wire that routes to the battery. How do I assure that I get one of these when I order? What is the cheapest price provider to purchase one from? Trying to make sure I get the one with no issues for the supposed change Honda made in late 2010 or 2011?

I have the D2Moto and it is at least that heavy, possibly a bit more. Like DJ I have the Thunder MFG adapter so I can't say from personal experience about the L&M but lots of folks here have the L&M with a spike and have not had any trouble.
