I figure its from the tank relieving pressure built by heat but wonder why it hasn't happened during the 100* summer days ??

Just above the low fuel level and checked for kinks ? The gulping sound does make sense with the kink or blockage cause its should free flow if I remember right ?

Mine spewed a lot this summer,Tank full or low. Everyday I came out to parking lot after work on decently hot days.

I spew as often as I'm allowed but never get down and inspect it, nor do I feel it and sniff it. Sorry I can't be of any more help. 😎
