How Often Does Your Tube Spew?

Whats going on good peoples?

Rode the bike to work this AM. Its was about 53* out. When I left 7 hours later it was about 78*. I noticed a puddle about 3 inches wide and about 4 inches long a little behind the center line of the bike on the exhaust side. I got down to inspect it and saw spew-age (if I may use the term spew-age) dripping out of, what I'm assuming is a tank vent tube. I felt the fluid and sniffed it. Def smelt like gas. The tank was probably 3/4 full. I searched the forum and found some people experience this and others don't seem to. What gives? When I started the bike, it seemed to be searching for idle. I never had a F.I bike before. Are both of these conditions common?

I've owned my Fury 1 year and 9 months - approx 6K miles - and have never experienced either phenomenon under any condition. And, I've parked the bike in a parking lot, all day, in the Florida summer - 90+ degree heat after a 70+ degree commute - with a substantially full tank.
