Fury Moving

So i get word today that I'm heading to South Korea. At present, the Fury is going with me and I'm just thinking about the general driving hazards in S. Korea....interesting at best in a country where a moped is considered a minivan....

Luckily I'll be on-post so shouldn't be too much of a concern...Don't there there is anyone in S. Korea on a Fury...should be interesting!!

Its been a long long time since I was there. But the driving there at that time was much the same as here in Thailand. Watch out for those little suckers they have very bad judgment skills.
I might suggest leaving the Fury on post and renting a scooter for a few days until you get used to the traffic.
And yes your not going to see to many Fury's there but this is a Jap bike so there are a few there by now same as harley's. You just aren't going to see them for the every day commute to work or trip to the fish market.

All true, all true...

We lived there before for a few years up north in Area I and we loved it, didn't have the Fury then. I'll be on-post this time so I won't be doing too much riding off-post. I'm just glad to be going back.

You should be OK on post. Would not dream of riding the Fury, or any other motorcycle, in S,Korea. I was in Seoul many years ago, and the traffic makes New York City traffic look tame. There is some beautiful countryside however. Be extremely careful and enjoy your tour. Enjoy the kimchi!!!!

Woah....you're actually bringing your Fury there. Is this your first time there? LOL

I was there (Seoul AB/K-16) from 2005-2006 and I'm heading to Osan AB in January 2013. The driving over there is INSANE and even worse on the highway. I strongly recommend you do not ride a motorcycle over there. There is a high death rate in South Korea with motorcycles. I'm storing mine while I'm over there (storing it stateside that is).

Where are you in the ROK are you heading?

Depends where in the ROK. I would say "hell no!!" to riding anywhere between Seoul and Deagu.

I remember the whole Canadian National Basketball Team renting scooters in Seoul at the Olympics... lol... Of course we were hard to miss; 12 large men on tiny scooters (we looked like quite the bike gang), but I will say the traffic was pretty crazy.... almost as bad as Taiwan.
