Fury wheels on a Sabre

For the life of me, I cannot find a definitive answer to this question.

The Fury's front wheel is the same size as the Sabre's. So is the front brake disk.

The Fury's rear rim is obviously taller than the Sabre's but it also uses a lower profile tire. I once did the math and the diameter of the Fury's rear wheel is only like .25" larger than the Sabre's. That being said, there's definitely not going to be an issue with the tire rubbing against the fender.

Now for the width. The Fury uses a size 200 tire and the Sabre uses a 170 (a 30 mm difference.) On the Sabre, there is more than 15 mm of space between the rear tire and swing arm. This applies to both sides. Both the Fury and Sabre have the same size rear brake disk (so there won't be an issue there, either.)

The cannot find a definitive answer on vtcafe.com (the forum isn't anywhere near as large or active as this one.)

Front? For sure!.... Rear?, In the same boat as you... Haha.... Waiting on someone to drop the coin and try it out..... Pretty sure it's a width issue....

I had a similar conversation with a new Sabre owner up my way. After comparing the Fury and Sabre side by side I think the problem is the swing arm not being wide enough. My guess is if you put a Fury swing arm on a Sabre that you'd be very close.

Sabre, did you ever try the fury wheel? It's too bad their isn't a fury owner around that you can just pop the wheel in.

In order for it to work you have to swap out the swing arm. Nobody has swapped swing arms to see if they are interchangeable.
