Seat mod for Sumo kit.
Has anyone tried to modify a Danny Gray Buttcrack to fit on the Sumo X???

I'll answer my own question,,,,, yes it does, but it is a bitch to do! The seat cover is not stretched tight in the pics. I will finish it tomorrow and post pics.

So did you have to modify the bottom of the seat. I had to cut two sections of the bottom of the seat and then make some small bend cuts at the rear so my c&c seat would fit. But yours looks way better than mine. Can you take some pics and dirrections of what you did. I may just buy a seat like yours.

Ya, I had to grind through the seat pan in a few spots. A bunch of trimming and shaping. If I was buying a seat, I would contact abonnet about getting a seat pan and build it myself. I actually thought I trashed my seat. It wasn't looking good or that it would even work. I just kept messing with it till I got it decent looking. Hopefully I can put up some pics tonight when it's finished!

I concur. My stock seat is also high and i plan to grind the bottom of the pan to clear the new fender. Maybe a note should be included in the video. Its nice to know we all have the same issue, must be normal.

well i think u did a great job as far as fitting it. i dont know how it looks at the bottom but the top looks good. lol

I took a lot of material off of the sides as well. All I can say is WAY COMFY!!!!!!!
