Well after watching the vid.. I can see the difference the way a car tire performs on a motorcycle versus a motorcycle tire, just me, but I don't want to ride on the corner of a tire on dry or on wet roads for sure, it's obvious why the motorcycle tires are designed for bikes... with that being said, in the event of being involved in an accident ( your fault or not) the insurance company from either side could discover this is not the proper tire for a motor cycle, and leave you holding the bag for all cost of damages.... medical... vehicles damaged... people hurt....one big fat law suit because of this super cool car tire... might never happen and I hope it never does, but my bike builder friend reminds me of such things... even a modified brake pedal, such as sawing the factory one off and installing a cool after market one...like I did.. could be caught by a good investigator and make your world a nightmare... you know loopholes and stuff, they look for them. I still customize as I see fit regardless, and I don't knock anyone for their choices.. but for more miles out of a tire and a good look... I think the price is to high if something went a rye... just me thinking... Ride On!

Same here. A car tire is not designed to be ridden on the corner like that. Others can do it and may never have a problem but I won't.

CT Video

I understand where you are coming from, but I am not ready to pass judgement until I see a similar video with a MT. I know it looks like there is not much CT on the road in that video, but given the shape of a motorcycle tire, I would think there is not as much difference as it would appear at first glance. I could be wrong without doubt. I am not an expert.

I am not even sure the route I am going when it comes time to replace my tire. I will probably go MT myself as well.

I come from a dirt bike and crotch rocket background so I do like my fast curves as much as the rest of you, possibly more than most. I have been called insane\stupid for the curves\speed I take my Fury.

But let me say this, I ride with 1300VT almost everytime I ride my bike and everytime I look up in any curve, he is either right behind or right in front of me, depending on whose leading that day.

Having ridden with him for the last 2 years, I have not seen anything at all that would make me absolutley rule it out. I am not trying to convince anyone of anything, especially since I do not know what I am going to do. But from a practical on the road standpoint after 2 years of watching, waiting and wondering and observing first hand, I do not think it is as dangerous as most folks as most folks say.

However, I think it would be good to see a video of an MT tire as well, if nothing else to satisfy some curiosity.

So one of you with a go-pro, please get busy, you have an assignement for the forum. HAHAHAHAHA.
