Darkside anyone?
For over two years I rode "darkside" (car tire on rear) on my VTX1800 and loved it. I put over 20k miles on one tire and it still had meat on it when it was totaled. So when it comes time to replace this rear tire I'm looking at going darkside again. Had anyone already done this and if so, what tire are you using?

I'm interested in this as well. Iv researched a bit and it seems like ppl only do it on heavier bikes. If you find out more or try it keep us posted.

I'll tell you from experience, my 1800 flat stuck to the road, especially when wet. I notice the difference on this bike. As well, I could hit the curves and scrape pegs all day long.

Have you heard of anyone doing it on a lighter bike? Iv only heard of ppl with big cruisers doing it like 1800s and wings and Valkyries.

There was someone from the forum that was using a car tire on the rear, can't remember the members name as he doesn't post much but it has been done.

I have 14000 miles on my General G-Max and love it. I too, started out on the darkside with a VTX1800R. I haven't had any issues with going darkside on my Fury. Darkside isn't for everyone but I am happy with it.
