I didnt purchase one when i bought the bike back then, and now i still dont know if im going to pull the trigger on this. My stealership managed to strip the ever living hell out of the front axel bolt ... do i really want to give them more service?

I changed the oil and plugs just a couple weeks ago. It wasnt a big deal, and i know exactly what is now in the bike and how much. Again, i have heard too many horror stories of stealerships scerwing up a simple oil change.

My biggest concern was when i flooded the bike last year. I literally had fuel pooring out of the pipes. Someone had suggested that i check the oil as i may have had fuel wash down the cylinders and go into the oil. Before my oil change i did check at least 2 different times and there was no signs of fuel in the oil.

My other concern is with all the aftermarket parts on the bike now, it wouldnt be covered. I guess ill make the final decission when i take the stripped bolt to the GM and lay it on his desk while telling him .. " Heres your new paper weight."

So i went to the stealership yesterday to have my Fury inspected and see about the extended warrenty. Heres is what i was told by the owner.

1. Sure, i can get the extended warrenty, even with all the add-ons. As long as i didnt have any modifications internally to the engine. He would make sure NOT to tell Honda of all the add-ons i have done to the bike.

2. The warrenty would not cover wearable parts like the battery, clutch, tires etc.

3. The price ... $400 for 2 yrs and $500 for 3.

4. I decided not to get it. I put just over 2,500 on the bike last year, and stored her for the off season from Oct through April. So for half the year not only am i paying for insurance on the bike, but i would be paying for a warrenty on a vehicle that isnt moving.

My stealership matched the price from Directline so I bought from them. They still make some money at this price. 4 year unlimited mileage for $500.
