My Family will be keeping you and Todd in our prayers. Also Saturday morning is our monthly meeting for the Christian Motorcyclists Assoociation. We will have a group (65 people) prayer for you both. Bill it sounds like you did all you could at the time. Another reminder to us all to treat every person and day as if it is our last. If you love someone tell them EVERY day. Keep that last hug and smile in your memory. It may not seem like it today but GOD IS GOOD. Stan

The bike was broken apart as if it was being junk, the motor seperated from the frame. Another sad part is Todd was arrested last nite, for DUI, and possible charges from the Marines for something we frowned apon, dont drink and drive, but more importantly dont let your friends drive drunk. He gave his wife the bullet to her gun last nite and has to live with the guilt, I told him at 4pm when we left hooters not to drive his bike when he got home, The accident happened at 10pm after they went home then got on there bikes and went to a bar to drink. I feel somewhat guilty that I didnt try to more to stop him , but what else could I have done. The problem that im having with this whole ordeal is the 3 years ive known Lisa,,who was a Sherrif deputy, and studying Criminal Law, was that she was never a touchy feely women,,dont touch me,,dont ask for a hug nothing but very nice to chat with,,as we were leaving Hooters, she opened her arms and looked at me and I said what? she goes , you gonna giveme a hug,,I looked at Todd he said go ahead hug the lady,,so i gave her a hug,,she was such a pleasant person, and was like she was saying goodbye in a way. we all had planned to ride sunday, her Viewing is saturday, crazy stuff,,my mind is like a movie camera in high speed right now,,thanks for letting me blow my steam,,you guys are awesome, and thanks,,,

Don't blame yourself. This had nothing to do with you. You tried. There was no telling that that was gonna happen. It could have happened even without the alcohol. I can tell you were a good friend and just live on with those memories. The guilt you feel will only make it worse for you. I've been through it before. I was only ten, but I could have made my dad stay hone that night. I didn't know he was gonna get cut off that night. Just remember the good times and remember, she's in a much better place now.
Be there for Todd and make sure the kids remember their mom. I know I blocked everything out to deal with it, which is why I don't remember my childhood. Only memories I have is him riding motorcycles and me saying goodbye. Don't let them get like that. They need to remember the great woman she was.
God bless!

Yeah bill dont blame yourself by any means. we are all adults and know the consequences, sometimes some of us ignore them a little and its bad when stuff like this happens. Just remember the times you had and keep them forever. Stuff happens that is bad, but good memories are forever. I have lost a ton of friends but never seem to notice the fact they are gone just remember the times we had together.

Bill don't blame yourself, I am a 1SG in the ARMY, and every Friday we give safety briefings on drinking and driving, motorcycle safety and all kinds of other safety briefings, I am sure the Marines do the same. When it comes down to it, we are all adults and sometimes we make bad decisions...
Please do not blame yourself, give my Military Brother my condolences and Gods Speed..
