Ok let me clear this up for you guys... The little knob is attached to the spring adjuster which is a SERPERATE part from the shock, when you disconnected the line you lost the oil and the ability to adjust it. The shock is TOTALLY fine unless you decided to take a hack saw or cutting torch to it. Clueless told you how to refill the adjuster and regain the use of it.

Damn, my wife takes me out for birthday lunch and I come back with you guys all confused. The SHOCK is one part, the PRELOAD ADJUSTER is a differant part, when you installed the spring, after you compressed the spring and removed the wire clip, the preload adjuster came off, with (supposed to) hose and attached to the part with the knob. You then should have had a shock, a spring and a preload adjusted 3 separate parts. If you took the hose off, the oil in the adjuster leaked out and needs to be replaced. If you drilled or cut the shock or removed the bottom shock mount, then the shock is no good, if all you did was remove the hose, then the shock is good. You cannot buy the pieces separate from Honda (spring, shock or adjuster)
