Bikers down
After my buddies flaked out on me this morning at 630, I decided to head on up to Beaverton, Oregon for a 250 mile poker run by myself, hoping I would meet some people and ride along with them, well, I did. About 70 miles into and there were 8 of us, I was riding in the rear, we came around a blind curve and as you would know it, that is where we needed to turn, the lead man slowed quickly and tried to make the turn, (he was on the inside), we were staggered, and the outside guy didn't see the brake lights, there was no signal, and everything happened in slow motion cut the guy off he laid his bike down, the 2nd guy, I thought would keep it up, did some fishtailing and eventually laid it down, they both had passengers. The third guy, amazing, no place for him to go but lay it down or blast right between them, which he did, threaded a needle, all the mean time, we had vehicles right behind us, good thing they were paying attention. But when all is said and done, just as a precaution they took the first set of people to the hospital just for routine exam, and the second couple, not one scratch, unbelieveable, they slid off the road into a culvert, looked like a bowling ball going down the gutter. Everything cleared out in an hour or so, I made sure everybody was doing okay, and the funny thing is, we didn't even introduce ourselves, they just asked me in the morning to come ride with them and we'll do the formalities over breakfast. They never made it to breakfast, and we still didn't introduce ourselves, so, hopefully they will make the next rally and get the formalities out of the way first thing. At least it didn't rain, but it was cold as hell!!!
