gear oil final drive

Is there a certain type of gear oil for final drive better than other the book says 80 wieght hypoid gear oil . Is that just a brsnd or will any 80 wieght gear oil work

Any good 80 or 80/90 wt is fine, we use gear oil from NAPA. Lots of guys use synthetic

I just went to the dealer and bought what they used Honda gear oil .
