My Story (Bad)
On 5/15 I was on a residential street in the mid afternoon when the gager in a P/U in front of me pulled over to the far Rt. Garage sales going on so I thought he was stopping and went to go around him when he decided to make a U turn (no blinker on)
His front fender struck my Rt. leg fracturing my femur and tibia. I was hospitalized for 3 1/2 weeks and now have a 18" rod in my femur and plates in the tibia. I am home in a wheel chair, no weight bearing on my leg for 4 months and look forward to long drawn out PT.
Fury was totaled and my riding days are over. I'll miss riding something terrible.
By the way the P/u had no insurance! Which brings me to some advice for you all. Make sure your Uninsured/underinsured coverage on your cycle policy is to the max. It's not expensive. Check your policy!
I'll miss this forum and especially Mental with whom I spoke to a couple of times last year, but that's another story.
Do have a blue OEM from fender, cables, intake for sale. I replaced the fender with L&M of the bat so its perfect. Reasonable offer accepted, just PM me.

Very glad to hear you are still kicking fish. Yep the people in 4 wheelers just do not think we have any rights and will do anythng in front or to the side of use. I am glad you are alright and you don't have to leave the forum just because you don't have a bike anymore we still like the comments and advice. God Bless

Don't give up on riding Dude...I totaled my first Fury in Sept of last year AH ran me off the road, and have lots of nice metal inplants in my right side 3 rib clamps, and a new metal colar bone. (TSA just loves me). I was down for several months but am back on the road on a new Blue Fury. It takes time I've had a few tense moments even now, especially on the Watermelon 500 as we call it around here.
But get well soon, don't give up, Physical Torture I mean theropy only last for so long.. Sue the Cager.....if he can buy a pickup truck he's got a job and maybe a house he may have things hiden..go for em...

Sorry to hear about your crash. It sux when other drivers ruin your day. As others have said, dont let it stop you from riding. If its because of the leg, I'm sure you can find something to get you on the road.

Sorry to hear about the accident but glad to hear that you made it without life threatening injuries and that you will eventually get better, like the others said just take your time and heal, try to get some money out of the guy/girl and then get back up on the saddle when your ready. Godspeed.

I was once on a charity ride on my Harley Sportster. I stopped to help the Pres. of our club whose bike had broken down. Before I got off of my bike I was rear ended by another bike going ~ 50 mph. He had minimum coverage, $15K. That covered a few minutes worth of medical bills. As mentioned above, be sure you have good uninsured/underinsured coverage. Your ins. company will fight you tooth and nail, but it's the only thing that saved me.
