It's not too shroomy, and lots of hair helps it look less so.

Without getting up on my soapbox and giving you guys a two-hour lecture on helmet design, testing, approvals, and head-injury-related fatality statistics, I'll assume that everyone understands that the helmets being discussed in this thread offer VIRTUALLY NO PROTECTION at any velocity above walking speed, right??? My two-bits.................

My Vega XTS half helment. Not the best pictures for seeing the helment. Their carbon fiber looks very similar and just a couple of ounces lighter. Both great helments for the money.........carbon fiber helmet question?-dragon-6.jpg

I think in one way or another it all goes back to the false sense of security.

I have my share of “novelty” helmets and find that the older I get the less I wear them. Hmmmm.
