carbon fiber helmet question?

Ive heard but cant remember about a good carbon fiber helmet.Does anyone have the carbon fiber helmet that the model name was "daffy"? From my understanding they once was DOT legal but no longer are and now being sold as a kayak helmets.

1. Know they name of the company now making them?
2. Anybody have one? If so how do you like or not like it?

Was head trip helmets, cant remember the new name.

I have the polo helmet, so it's a little more than a 1/2 helmet. I shave my head, so there are alot of pockets in the helmet where the wind grabs. The mold for the helmet doesnt seem to be very much based on the diameter of your melon like they want you to think. It only makes contact at about three points on my head.
I bought a Vega 1/2 helmet and it is like someone took a bonesaw around my skull and im putting it back on my head.

Also, the carbon fiber helmet is pretty expensive for something you cant try on in a store.

lasterDiamon. Thanks for the input, i also have the vega 1/2 helmet but im want something even smaller. i remembered looking at the head trip ones last year but that was when they was fighting the DOT and lost. I dont care if its DOT legal or not just wanted to know more the quality of it for the price.

I have the vega 1/2 carbon fiber helment and love it. Very light weight and fits perfect without the mushroom head look.... Just my opinion...

FWIW, I love my Vega. However, it's DOT and does shroom, but it's worth the trade off compared to my other 1/2 helmet. The shroom look isnt very bad if im wearing a jacket.

As far as quality on the head trip, there isnt much there. It's just carbon fiber molded and then a laquer put on the outside. Maybe 1/2" of foam on the inside and a plastic clip.

i have a few daytona helmets 1 being carbon fiber. I wont buy anything else.

how thin are the daytona helmets? i dont know much about them other then the name.
